I heard it was all because of Dave's demands. However, I still have a hunch (a very good one too ) that they have talked to him this year.

Dave was doing EMS training to help Al & Ed when they get together to go on tour in 05! Just in case. He has to lead them & take care of them this time.

Anyhow, yeah, I think Eddie and Dave just couldn't come to terms with an agreement. Ya know what else sucks? Sam got back in because he had a manager, much like he did in '86.

Remember, Noel Monk was fired BEFORE Dave officially left Van Halen from what I understand.

So, in 2000, things were going well between Dave and VH. The royalties thing had a part in this thing falling apart too.

As far as anything after that, unsure. Its possible Dave and Eddie talked before they decided to go with Sam.
