Man, I am really diggin' the single. At first I was like, 'Dave solo song,' he's all over the place, with vox ranging from black oak dandy rap ala Me Wise Magic to some classic WACF scat. What a sleeper! Now I've listened to the fucker a hundred times and have quickly realized how much I missed Dave singing for this band. Have extremely high expectations for this album.
Greatest show I ever saw was the Diver Down 1982 Asheville Civic Center...amazing. Saw Dave on the ALAE tour and got a front row, and I mean can tie Dave's shoes seat in a small club (Cowboys Greenville SC) on his YFLM tour. And of course the 2007 Reunion. I met Michael Anthony once on the beach in Myrtle Beach SC and chatted with him for about 5 minutes. Went to the hotel bar and he comes back over and sits down, and we chat for about an hour. Great guy.
Hi, new here, old timer fan. My friend Rusty's band Eulogy opened for them loads in the 70s, which is how I got the intro. Saw them loads with Dave here in California, at Donnington and in Holland. DLR solo here, Oslo and Rotterdam. Never, ever saw them sans DLR.
1979 - Calgary 1980-Calgary and Edmonton 1981-Edmonton 2007-Vancouver. DLR 2002-Edmonton

I saw CVH just once, in 1984 in Karlsruhe, Germany, on the Monsters of Rock festival. I didn’t like VH much at this time, which had nothing to do with the music, I liked that but…
I had a boyfriend at the time that was totally in to EvH and he spent more time listening to the albums, practicing on his guitar and with his band then he spent on me. I resented Ed for that because he always came first, of course the poor guy couldn’t help that but I was 17 at the time and just needed someone to be pissed at. I went with the boyfriend to Monsters of Rock prepared to hold his hand because he thought he was going to faint seeing Ed live on stage. The moment Dave and VH came one to the stage my life changed. I was blown away, totally in awe, there is no way to describe it, I elbowed my way to the front of the stage and had the time of my life. Back in Holland after this I ditched the boyfriend and bought the six-pack, the rest is history…
Needless to say I’ve been to every concert Dave did in Holland since (and none of the Van Hagar shows). Sadly Dave has not been in Holland since 1999, I really hope they do Europe this time!!!!
