          1982.....

My older cousin Lana too me to my first Van Halen concert. 1982

I was just 11 and pretty hot with my Sergio Valente's, feathered hair and lip gloss. Christ, I felt so cool.... God I feel old.

          Be well,

I saw them Halloween night 1982 in Hampton VA. I can remember Mikey coming out with some kind of lighted hat on...weird what I remember from that show. The song thats sticks out from concert was "Where Have all the Good Times Gone". I was up in the seats. When the 1984 tour rolled through I was down front of the stage. Took some 110 film photos. Didn't turn out great but are good memories of the show. Mostly Dave down front slapping hands with the crowd crushed against the barriers. He seemed to talk alot of shit about Al too. Who'd have thunk it then.... Sorry to say I saw them in '86 and '88. Eddie was right on, but the atmosphere in the arena just wasn't the same as before....Haven't seen them since.

I saw them on their last tour with Sammy, before this one. I guess it was 1996? Doesn't seem that long ago.

                    '81 Oakland, CA
'84 Daly City, CA (some folks consider this to be SF) Cow Palace

It was super loud at the Cow Place show. People were screaming so loud for them. It made it hard to hear them play. Dave forgot some of his lyrics.

                    I remember you BillL ....haha

Back then, concerts were so crazzy and out of control, nothing like they are now a days.

                        I'm from Madison, WI and saw them in 79, 80, 2x in 81, 2x in 82, 1x in 83, 85 and in LA 2008.
Classic VH were definitely one of the best live shows I've ever seen, the mass feeling at those shows was unreal.

I never saw them with Dave until 2007. Which made it a magical event for me.

As for seeing the "lesser" versions of VH, I saw these tours:

                            5150
