How many of you actually have seen Van Halen live?

I saw them August 11th 1979 at the Asbury Park Convention Hall. Asbury Park New Jersey.

This was the Van Halen II tour.

The show was great. It was Dave's show all the way. They opened up with Light Up The Sky.

It was awesome. Dave kept telling his stories about Big Joe. He cutoff Eddie's solos many times to rap to the crowd.

The early good ole days when Dave was the leader and boss of the band.

Funny thing the hall held about 3500 seats and the show was not sold out.

I didn't see =VH= until the first reunion tour because I was about age 4 when 1984 came out. So sneaking out of the house was not possible. LOL But I did get around to seeing a Dave solo gig in Henderson, NV back in 2001. I was drunk off my ass and it was fuckin' awesome!

This picture is beyond fucking great. Reminds me of the days I'd look at the old VH & VH II Songbook in the record stores in the early 80s... I wonder if anyone could clean it up and make a nice sized poster print for you.

My first Van Halen concert was May 15, 1979 which is when the photo in my avatar was taken. I'm looking the wrong way lol! I have seen every VH show in Toronto with Dave and Sammy. I'm going to the show in August. Looking forward to sitting 12 rows from the stage :-)
I've also seen all of Dave's solo shows in Toronto and at Casino Rama in Orillia.

Unfortunately, I have only been able to see them once with Dave on the 2012 show, and though I realize it is not the fire and majesty of what they where in rock in the late seventies and eighties, it was a pretty good show and I will go to see them again on this tour. I have seen Dave live in his solo ventures around seven times and all the shows where really good... once saw Van Halen with Hagar because a friend had an extra ticket and they where not bad, they where just boring as all hell and I had to do everything in one's power from falling asleep on their For Lawful Boring Cliché Rock tour, which makes me wonder if Hagar's 'Circle' tour will involve holding hands and lighting candles to Cumbia and Right Now lol
