The RRHOF decides who gets in. In other words, Gary doesn't have a shot. Sammy isn't exactly lock if VH is nominated. When AC/DC got in, the current members were a little upset that they're original bassist (I forget his name) wasn't included. The Clash had both drummers get in. So in a way it's like the baseball HOF deciding which team is represented on his plaque. I personally feel it shoud just be the original four for VH, no Sammy or Gary. Seriously, what did Sammy do to enhance VH's legacy? If anything he ruined it. Before VH who even heard of him? Sammy doesn't belong. If VH does get in maybe Sam could park cars or be the restroom attendant. "Can I shake it for you Mr. Anthony?" "Breath mint Al?" "Here Mr. Roth, I'll dispose of that used condom". The RRHOF is about influence, not album sales. Sammy influenced noone. If anything he influenced us not to listen to Van Hagar.

Sammy would tell you he IS the reason VH gets in.

Lynyrd Skynyrd should have been in there years ago. They've passed them over something like six times. And seriously...RANDY NEWMAN and CONWAY TWITTY are nominated for the rock 'n' roll hall of fame but BLACK SABBATH or DEEP PURPLE have been ignored for almost ten years? What a joke this Hall is.

Hagar doesn't deserve to get in, either solo or with Van Halen.

Van Hagar sold a few records, but that's not enough to get in, and I have yet to see any bands who consider Van Hagar an inspiration or influence.

If Slapnuts does get in he will say because all their albums with him went #1 and they sold like 62 million records.(dipshit)

I'm glad the HOF is holding out inducting Van Halen. After this tour dies down, that gives more hope for a HOF performance with Dave.

The Sex Pistols deserve to be inducted into the RNRHOF for giving rock & roll a good kick in the ass in the mid/late 70's more so than U2. U2 are one of the most overrated rock bands in rock history who stood out during the 80's because they weren't Motley Crue & Duran Duran which isn't saying a lot. Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Kiss & Van Halen are the last important & influential artists in rock history from the 70's before the slow death of rock & roll began in the 80's.
