Well I look foward to seeing Van Halen put in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, it's where they belong. I don't think Gary should be in there with them since it was only one album, but I think Dave and Sammy both should go.... I feel this way because:

1. There would be no VH without David Lee Roth

2. Regardless of how everyone here feels, Van Hagar was huge in many ways, and had a big following.

On a side note, if they were to perform at the Hall Of Fame, it would kick ass to see a a song or two with Sammy, and then as a bonus a few classics with Dave. Will this happen? Probably not, but who knows?

:D Same here in Atlanta! All you hear is the Roth-era Van Halen on the classic rock station. The only time they played any Van Fagar was when they were a few days away from playing here (Sept. 17.) Now it's back to Roth Halen!

I signed it. And proud of it. Van Halen, CLASSIC Van Halen kicked major ass and deserves the honor of being in the rock and roll hall of fame. Classic Van Halen should reunite and go out the same way they came in, and I want to see it while they are all still alive. Eddie, Alex, Michael and DAVE! If that means that Spam shares in the spot light. So be it. Though Van Hagar does not compare to Van Halen, they had their moments. Dave solo does not compare to Classic Van Halen either... but he also has had him moments.

I have made the point that I would like to see Dave nominated as a solo artist for his contribution to Classic Van Halen, not only as front man, but for his behind the scenes work that so many people give no thought too. Additionally, you have to look at the early years of music video and his contributions there. Finally, you have his solo career, which on its own has no merit to stand in the hall of fame, but gives credence to his dedication and love of the game. I have been told that will never happen. Its the shit Dave has given to the music industry that he gets the least credit for that gives him the most merit, IMO.

The thing about history...any history... is that you can't rewrite it to leave out the bad shit, and embrace only the good. It is what it is, and it happened that way for a reason. The only thing you can do is take the good with bad and learn from it. History need not repeat itself as it has on this tour... But the point to that is that DAVID LEE ROTH is VAN HALEN... but the others, Eddie, Alex, Michael, Spammy and Gary, are gonna be there, (okay, maybe not Gary, but I think if Spam is gonna be, he should be-sort of a slap in the face to Spam-at least Gary was willing to embrace the legacy, and not fight it) then take it like men. Dave will.

And, being brief, I want to see Eddie Van Halen in the Hall of Fame.
