Red Rocker, like I said before more like Cock Knocker. A fat bastard that is trying to promote his own bar and a shampoo product. Its one thing to be into yourself but don't you think Sammy is taking it a little too far? What does he have that makes him so egotistic? However this may appear as a biased opinion but I personally dont like Spammy. I wish he would Drive 55 right off a fucking cliff.

For those that appreciate the Red Rocker... Feel free to post your thoughts but beware of the backlash you may receive.

Saw him open up for ZZ Top in '83. I didn't like him before; liked him less after the show. Most people didn't bother to show up to the sold out show until ZZ Top went on. Of course in an interview about the Sam & Dave tour he said he hadn't opened up for anyone since '78.

Sammy is ok as a solo artist. I never really liked him as the "Red Rocker" and never really cared for I cant drive 55 or eagles fly. But that said I think he was a perfect choice for VH.

Ok...here it comes: I don't really have that much of a problem with Sam.

Now I can feel all of the gun sights being focused at my head, and can hear the Howitzers being primed, yet hear me out.

I have no problem with Hagar getting a job, that pays him ok. It's called free enterprise, or to a more acurrate term, capitalism.

This guy complained that he actually took a pay-cut to join VH (believe what you will believe).

In exchange for this apparent pay-cut, his face reached the entire
world.

Outrightly dismissing what the band turned into...what really gets my nut about Sam is truly not his fault: It's his fucking fans!!!

Look at that thing beneath my avatar...it includes my age. Yup, 43...and I constantly have to listen to someone tell me how much better Sammy is than Dave Roth, and say it with the same conviction a child has as looking out the window Christmas Eve, waiting for Santa.

I'd like to explain how "Rockem-Sockem Robots" are better than a video game, why "Hot Wheels are great because you don't have car payments, and how if you get into a bar fight, you will feel pain, if not actually bleed a bit.

All I'm saying is get some world experience, before you start telling me the lay of the land.

Well in my eyes Sammy is a very true and generous human being, although a lot of you hate him for being part of Van Halen there are two sides to every story.

Sam does so much Charity work and donates tonnes, i have done work with a lot of people and at one event Sammy donated all proceeds from a show to the cause, wow a lot of cashola but i am just person and that is how i feel.

We really dont know much about the OTHER side of Roth , that would be cool to get an inside view on what makes Diamond Dave tick.

Can you guys arrange this at Roth Army?

I like Sammy, I think he's got a good voice and is a half way decent song writer. I like Van Hagar, it's the form of Van Halen that I started listening to back in the day. Do I think Van Hagar is Van Halen? No. They are two totally different bands in every way. The Dave/Sam thing will go on forever, and not everyone will see eye to eye on it obviously... But that's cool, there's enough music out there for everyone. I think Dave is a better front man than Sammy, and I'd like to see what a true Van Halen show is like one of these days God willing.
