I believe he used a Kramer/Ripley on Top Jimmy. Kramer put out s Ripley series designed by Ripley, but this is one of his own. They are extremely rare and cu$tom made. This looks like a later one. I wouldn't be surprised if this was made prior to his Ernie ball since the shape is similiar. Many companies went after EVH when he left Kramer. He almost went with Steinberger, because he loves their guitars, but thought they sounded a little sterile.Comment
