Well, i'd like to hear how this happened, but only because this issue has been thrown out into the public forum.
I have known the upper brass of this site for years and know personally that nobody would abuse their power in that fashion, maybe other ways, lol, but not with people's IP's.

Now there have been members, one in particular, that has requested IP info from me while i was a mod here, but i fabricated the answers to their questions to protect the people involved and diffuse the situation.
If by chance, someone gets information from me that they use to harm another, i couldn't live with that on my conscience.

But i collect info for my own use by those i consider, how do i say, "unstable individuals", lol, much like myself at times.......

Maybe we need a thread about internet laws and practices since i see people doing things everyday that could land them in legal trouble.
Do you all understand that if you make even the slightest threat against someone, and they turn up dead tomorrow, YOU will be an instant suspect when their hard drive is examined?

For instance, Fab says she's gonna send her brother out to break some legs, and the person she said that to falls down and breaks a leg.....That person could press charges against her brother for breaking his leg out of spite and have written, documented proof that a threat was made...that's motive and intent right there and then the burdon of proving he didn't falls on his lawyer, which by then is an uphill battle.

The phrase "It's only the internet, don't take it seriously" is bullshit.
Some people had better "hope" people don't take it seriously or they could find themselves in a criminal or civil suit defending themselves.

It's not as much of an un-monitored playground as people would like to think and you don't need a police report to file a law suit on someone. If you are both within the United States, you're fair game according to the local laws involved.

Threats are threats, insults are not threats, spamming isn't a threat but can be considered malicious conduct, having minors registered that have access to adult material is criminal, but the rules cover the sites ass in that respect and the minor is the one breaking the law as far as that goes here.....it's also a reason why i don't post porn anymore on any site, but that's just personal preference and not due to any laws being broken beyond the law regarding licensed pictures.
Then that all depends on if the site is non-profit or not as to whether it's illegal or not.

Folks, I have a folder filled with threats made back and forth, some, though rare, have been directed at me.
I started this a long time ago in order that i could be a witness to represent my fellow and fellowette mods should they become the target of an opportunist asshole.
That and i just like to remember who my enemies are here. this is why the alias games piss me off so much because i have busted a few people that i thought were my online buddies cutting me apart with personal attacks using another name.
That is the same as having a two faced friend who kisses your ass with praise in your presence and then rips you apart when you are not around.
Remember, and as i recently learned again with GAR, someones "Character" cannot be judged by another person.
"Character" can only be determined by how a person acts when they are alone, by themslves.

This site is filled with fans, which that term is derived from the word fanatic....look it up.

And I can say this...there is no fucking way in hell any of them did anything dishonest concerning personal information. I have NEVER told a soul what company I am working for... EVER! No-one so that BS that someone knows cuz I told them is out the window... I know that Webbies can tell the name of a company from the company IP/Server because two of them have told me before... Sesh one told me he knew the name of a company I was working for AND he told me he got it from my IP as did Brownie once tell me the name of another company I was working for when I was aking him how IP's worked... He looked and told me the actual NAME of the company. Of course no one who works at this site wants to admit that someone gave This little dick the info because doing so makes the site look bad and unsafe. Rikk can try and convince everyone of something different but I know what really happened... PERIOD. I have only been working for this client since Jan and have given no one any indication of who what or where I am working... I told OLO that because he asked me if I was going to have my ex come kick his ass, and I said no, my biker brothers would do it... It wasn't serious, I dodn't even know where he lives and like I said, he asked me... What I told Brett is that I'd have his ass kicked next time I saw him at a Punks gig... Again, I said it, never would do it...
