Threads of very poor taste on the main forum.

I am writing this to complain about the untasteful threads and their contents which are to be found on the main Main VH/DLR Discussion forum lately.

This forum has become a playground for immature individuals who have nothing better to do than insult each other on public forums on the internet.
Not only does it not have ANYTHING to do with Main VH/DLR Discussion but it is also of very poor taste.

I cant understand why the webmasters allow this forum to be used to bash people in the way it is done. It is racist, sexist and in general way below the waistline. The lowest point yet however are the AIDS insults and jokes evolving around this disease.

I thought there was a special forum for these kind of threads where people can exercise their "freedom of speach".
Please do not forget however that with such freedom also comes responsibility and it is this responsibility that is seriously lacking on this site.

I have strong doubts that David Lee Roth would ever want to be associated with a website that allows shit like this to be posted time after time. I know I wouldnt.

This isn't Sesame Street here, and Dave isn't affiliated with this site, it's a fan site created by and paid for by that fan (and others who support it).

The problem isn't really that people are being idiots and childish in a majority of the posts. The problem is that people don't read the Rules portion of the registration process.

There are no handholding babysitters here and this site is really no different than what is going on in reality.
People have opinions and those opinions offend people, just like real life, but here, like in real life, people are allowed to have those opinions, exactly as you have a right to posting this thread and my right to reply to it.

If you don't like it, don't read it.
but don't choose to read it just to complain about it because nothing is going to change it anyway.

Just remember the names of those who you don't like and skim over their posts, it works for me and it can work for you too.
There is also an ignore feature that allowes you to keep posts by people you don't like from showing on your screen, problem solved.

The ignore feature is about the only thing that gets ignored around here.
I guess bitching about things you cannot change is more fun than actually being proactive about it and putting someone on ignore.
