But really what I take from this is I am so thankful Eddie cleaned up himself. I thought he was going to die back then. The best guitarist ever who wrote my all time favorite songs. The guy who I wanted to be when I was a kid. The guy that got me to buy a red & white guitar, grow my hair long just like his. the guy that showed the world you could rock hard & smile at the same time. I would have been crushed if he died in such a shitty way undeserving of the greatest to ever pick up a 6-string.

What should be noted is Ed cleans up as soon as another woman comes into his life. Vallerie really fucked Ed up. I mean when Val leaves the picture and another woman changes him for the better, that should say something right there. Val let Ed go to seed or drove him there.
