    Saw this at the Links...

    From the Eddie Trunk interview with Mike and Sam:

    "Wow, what a night this past Friday at The Borgota in AC. Great show by Sammy Hagar and his band, followed by our live after party broadcast with Silvertide, Sammy Hagar & Michael Anthony! Another huge exclusive!! Sammy stopped by and talked for about 30 minutes, while Michael co-hosted the entire second half of the show. Both guys could not have been cooler and we had a blast from our private suite in the Mixx lounge at the Casino."

    "I am being hammered with emails about hearing this audio again and what was said. Catch the replays online this week on KNAC.com. The audio will also be posted on the home page in about a week, as well as some great photos."

    "For you guys who caught it or came down, thanks, to those that didn't, you missed something really special. In a nutshell as far as VH is concerned it's over for now and maybe for good. Sam & Mike both said the tour started out fun but quickly turned all business. Mike did not deny my claim that Eddie needs some help and was smoking and drinking and played poorly at times. He also shared some great Roth stories and played some his favorite VH songs. I never hung with Michael before, what a super guy."



    What's great about this article is that even Mike says that Eddie played poorly at times and some many people over at the VHlinks were always denying this. I heard it with my own ears in Cleveland and he was so sloppy. It was so sad to see a guy who used to make something that seems difficult to play look so easy....now look at him. I also like that fact that Mike was telling Trunk about some great Roth stories. Now, if you really can't stand the guy, why would you do that. If I couldn't stand someone I'd either mf them or not talk about them at all!!! Maybe, just maybe, somethings gonna happen with VH and Roth after all.....
    Before I always said I always liked Van Halen with David Lee Roth. Now I have to say I like Van Halen with David Lee Roth & Michael Anthony. It's just too much!

      It's interesting, I guess, but no surprise to any of us. I'd imagine that Mike (and to a lesser degree even Sam) are probably decent enough guys to hang out with, but...what throws me is how Mike apparently was fooled into believing that 2004 was about old friends reuniting to make great music and it wasn't going to be all work and blah blah blah.

      Weren't we all saying this is just a cash grab tour? From jump street, didn't we say that?

      Christ, we're not even IN Van Halen and we have more insight into Alex and Eddie's mindset than Mike does, apparently.

          We have been saying all along that the fucker wasnt playing
          right.. What did the sheep say at the time, Ed was so "ON"...
          Fuck you just had to listen to any of the boots from any of
          the shows. I remember listening to RWTD and him fucking
          up the easiest of notes, in what is probably one of his most
          famous riffs. Same with Unchained.

          Medocrity, the Hagar fans accept it. (In fact they know no better !)

                          Sorry....the VHforums...same thing....
