Correct call. Throwing stuff is bullshit, and there are other examples from other cities. I can see being mad and booing - it was difficult to see "the swat" on tv before the replay - they don't announce these things over the loudspeaker and they sometimes don't show controversial replays on the big screen.

Why did Jeter have to go back to 1st? He would have been safe at 2nd if there was no swat. Was that a penalty? Not that it had any effect on the game.

Yeah, he would have been at second, but aparently there is a 30 yard penalty for interferance :D
