OK, let's see... it's only the worst collapse in American sports history...

So the Sox pounded Kevin Brown; this is a surprise?

Ed Whitson - Kenny Rogers - Jeff Weaver - Javier Vazquez?

If you can't beat Lowe in two tries, you don't deserve the pennant...

Pedro Martinez will get a HUGE contract as these two teams bid against each other...

I never want to see Tom Gordon again...

After seeing what's become of Giambi & Vazquez, Nick Johnson's not looking to bad....

Let's see: any silver linings here on the morning after the worst day in Yankee history?

Maybe better tickets will be available for weekend games next year?

        I got a good night's sleep finally...

A hot Asian chick sat next to me on the train this morning; yes I know that has nothing to do with anything, but it was a good thing on a bad morning!

By the way, while we a expelling curses, how about letting the Jets off the hook for Namath's deal with the devil? I guess I'm going to hear "Yankees suck" while watching the Jets game this week!

Actually that picture was taken in Boston! Although I've certainly seen some bullshit in the Bronx...

An unidentified Boston Red Sox fan is covered in blood after being injured outside Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts October 20, 2004. Riots erupted after the Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees in Game seven of the ALCS to secure a spot in the World Series.

I can't even BEGIN to tell you that satisfaction (as a native Bostonian) I am getting out of reading this thread. Let's see..

Curt Shilling shutting up Yankees fans....check...

Come from behind victory of historic proportions....check...

Shutting down the worlds most overpaid offense...check.

Watching 200 million go up in smoke? Priceless....

Raguzza, who's your Daddy? Enjoy the offseason bitches...

I little early for that, don't you think? I'll remember this if you can't finish the job.

If we win it, so be it, if not, so be it.

Either way, we smoked you and that is what matters. A history making defeat...what happened was unprecedented.

                      A new legacy is beginning.

It is? Ask any player on any team if they'd rather beat the Yankees or win the WS. You'll be crying in your cheerios if Boston can't finish the job. No matter what kind of bullshit like "Hey, we beat the Yankees. That's all that matters." you try to pull out.

                          Wray,

To alot of people, the World Series is anti-climatic. The Sox did something NO other team has ever done, and the Yankees had the biggest collapse in playoff HISTORY.

This year will always be remembered for the Red Sox beating the Yankees.

Anytime any team from here till the end of baseball that gets in an 0-3 hole, the announcer will say, 'no team has ever come back from an 0-3 hole, EXCEPT for the 2004 Boston Red Sox against the Yankees.'
