Seems like Mayweather's people are expecting it to go to the cards too:

Floyd Mayweather says he's ready to retire after his blockbusting showdown with Oscar De La Hoya.
The 'Pretty Boy' faces De La Hoya for the WBC light-middleweight crown in Las Vegas on May 5 in one of the sport's richest ever fights.
And he says beating the 'Golden Boy' and improving his perfect record to 38-0 would leave him with nothing else to prove.
He said: "I don't have nothing else to prove. I've proved it from 130 up. I've made a lot of money from the sport and I'm happy, my kids are happy. These are valuable years in their lives and I want to spend time with them."
Mayweather also believes he'll be a rival for De La Hoya in the future - outside the ring.
He added: "I want to take my promotional company to the next level. We'll be competing as promoters. It won't be like Don King and Arum in that hopefully we'll have a better relationship. We can shake hands when we meet, go out to eat and put the big fights together."
Some members of the Mayweather camp say their biggest fear is getting a rough deal from the judges if the verdict is close.
But Floyd doesn't believe this will be the case, and says he expects to be treated fairly.
"The Nevada Commission is the best in the world - and I'm not just saying that because I live in Nevada - because they've always treated me fair.
"I'm not worried about them treating me fair. I'm just going to go out and do what I've got to do.
"I don't want to be treated like Quartey or Whitaker. Oscar knows that Whitaker nearly beat him and Quartey beat him. And I feel he did beat Trinidad and he got a bad decision."
May 5 will either cement Mayweather's legacy as a ring great, or provide the first blip on that perfect record.
And the man himself says he's been waiting for this moment for several years.
"I've been talking about this fight for years. It deserves to generate this kind of money. It was obvious when I was talking about this fight everybody wasn't listening. They were all laughing at me. Now it's here, it's the biggest fight in boxing. It's going to be a hell of a fight and I'm in tremendous shape.
"He's a smart businessman and I'm a smart businessman and that's why I knew this fight was going to happen."
I agree with binnie about the chess match, but Oscar will call check mate in the 5th round with a K.O.
Am I the only one who thinks Floyd's father should stay away from the training aspect of this fight? Traitor to Oscar in the sense that he runs right to his sons camp to help out, knowing the in's and out's of Oscar. I think he is without honor by jumping into the scene. He should stay out of this one entirely.
Oscar isn't exactly a young man by boxing standards and picks and chooses his fights over the past 5 years. He is into the music industry and fight promoting, not fighting. Everytime he's lost, he seems to cry foul and want to run to the board, where he has never had a ruling reversed.
Floyd won't give him a chance to hit him square. Floyd has become almost too defensive in my opinion.
He'll do enough to frustrate Oscar, hit and not be hit, and win a decision.
I'm impressed by the fact that De La Hoya is sparring with Shane Mosely...a guy who not only beat him twice, he's also according to boxing pundits even faster than Floyd is. Obviously Oscar is trying to elevate his game for this one....we may be surprised. Mosely has said "Floyd better watch out!"
Plus, I've been watching the HBO 24/7 series...Oscar is taking this waaaaay more seriously than Floyd. Besides, though I think Mayweather's gifted, but he is turning into a huge loudmouth...it would be cool to see someone take him down a peg. I met Roger Mayweather once, actually a really cool guy....

I was going to post the full transcript of the press conference around that, but it went on forever!
Yeah, Shane seems confident Oscar can win.
I'd like to see it, but I think Floyd will still be too fast and, as Alinchainz said, too defensive to allow Oscar to land any meaning ful clean blows.
I really think that this could be quite a dull fight unless Oscar can manage ot do what Castillio did and MAKE Flyod fight.
Floyd Mayweather says he'll shock Oscar De La Hoya with his punching power on May 5.
Many pundits fear Mayweather - stepping up to light-middleweight from welterweight for the big showdown - will lack the size and strength to beat the 'Golden Boy'.
But Mayweather says the importance of size is over-rated, and boasts that his power will be enough to claim the WBC light-middleweight crown in Las Vegas.
"I've got a hell of a knockout ratio and I feel that's what is going to be the surprise for Oscar on May 5 - my punching power. My hands are strong and I feel good.
"Weight doesen't win a fight. Fame doesn't win a fight. Smartness and intelligence win a fight.
"Everybody says Oscar has a good left hook. Well Floyd Mayweather has a good left hook, a good right hand and can dig to the body with both hands. He has the best defence in boxing and can beat you inside or outside."
Mayweather says that while De La Hoya may be the naturally bigger fighter, his suspect stamina could again be his Achilles heel on Saturday week.
"You've got one fighter in the best shape of his life but he always gets tired. Against Floyd Mayweather you better not come out and shoot your load. If you do, it'll be your ass early. He's always in the best shape of his life, but he still gets tired."
Mayweather's father - Floyd Sr - is back in his son's camp after ending his stint as De La Hoya's trainer.
But he says his dad hasn't given him any special tips on how to beat the 'Golden Boy'.
"One thing about me that my father understands. It don't matter what Oscar does, it's just the two of you who have to go in there and fight. It doesn't matter what Freddie Roach tells him."
The two fighters are currently wowing huge TV audiences with a fly-on-the-wall series of documentaries ahead of their big showdown - branded De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7.
And Mayweather says the shows prove he - and not De La Hoya - is the real deal when it comes to this match-up.
"He's dry, there's no personality. The last show was mostly about me. The other part of the show is about his trainer. There's no excitement. When you talk about Floyd Mayweather it's excitement - blood, sweat and tears.
"Once I get in that square circle I know what to do. I'm the master when it comes to that. I feel good, I'm happy and there's no chip on my shoulder. Fighters that wear their heart on their sleeve tend to come up short - I don't do tha
