Yeah, he is cocky and he does it without charm.

I expect Bute will win - largely because of his movement - but that is assuming that he can handle Froch's pressure and power.

I have said before about this fight taking nothing away from Froch,I think Bute will take this.He has speed and movement and is an intelligent fighter.He is an unknown entity against a skilled guy like Froch,But i highly doubt his team would give this fight the ok without knowing he has a more than reasonable chance.He will need this fight if he wants to go on to bigger and better thing's.

Lamont Peterson fails drugs test to put Amir Khan fight in doubt
Amir Khan's rematch with Lamont Peterson is in doubt after the American champion failed a drugs test.

Both fighters agreed to random testing before their light-welterweight bout in Las Vegas on 19 May and Peterson tested positive for synthetic testosterone.

"Lamont has never had a positive test either before or after this isolated occurrence," said a Peterson statement.

"We plan to submit medical findings by Tuesday reflecting the facts in support of Lamont's good faith intentions."

The fighters are due to meet for a second time on 19 May after the World Boxing Association ordered a rematch following Peterson's controversial victory over Khan on 10 December 2011.

The WBA claimed there were "multiple irregularities" in the first fight after Khan appealed against the points defeat which took place in Peterson's home town, Washington D.C.

The statement added: "We have tremendous respect for the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association [Vada] and its mission. Lamont, [his manager] Barry [Hunter] and the entire team emphatically support random drug testing in the most comprehensive manner possible.

"We are working expeditiously with a team of pathologists and other medical specialists to confirm the origin of the test result and in full compliance with the rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission."

Khan's business manager Asif Vali told Sky Sports News: "It was a shock when I received the call to say Lamont had failed a drug test.

"However, the Peterson team seem to think that something's gone wrong during the very first Vada drug test which Lamont took in March.

"Their explanation is that it's something he took earlier on in the year - before the last fight.

"The fight's on. The Nevada commission will come back to us with their findings. That decision is due to come to us by the end of play on Tuesday."

It might be that he's taken another form of medication which contained traces of it - I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt until I know otherwise.

Either way, it fucks Peterson's preparation up (mentally) - if the fight goes ahead, bet the house on Khan.

True...there's also the slight chance it could be a false positive. Either way, blows Peterson's concentration until it's cleared up.

Only in the sense that both fighters will meet in the ring.The only chance Peterson has is if Khan somehow forgets to show up.Peterson will probably stick to a similar game plan as last time.Khan will be more focused this time round.He needs to be using his jab to set up quick combo's,Sticking and moving (as he can't roll or get good angles) and above all

Stay off the ropes

If Khan has worked more on knowing where he is and controlling the ring he will murder Peterson

Yeah binnies called it spot on , they guys head will be in bits but it sounds like it was full of rocks any way ...i was listening to the radio on the way home and it was saying he has failed A and B tests and has now admitted to taking testosterone pills ... so if he is now admitting it were does it leave the fight ?

THe bute froch fight is a tough call , ive chopped and changed every time i go back and check either fighter . Bute is up for this .. he must be to come to froch 's home town to fight him but for me he is bute first " big opponent" and as for froch .. its no shame in getting beat off ward, ward is the real deal ....but i give froch his due he has consistenly fought top fighters.....
My head and heart say bute in this ... but i have feeling it might be a war and that might help froch .... fuck it .. am gonna go for froch

The only thing I'm stuck with on Froch-Bute is whether Froch can get to him - that is, will Bute's movement and speed keep him out of Carl's way (like Andre Ward)?

If so, Bute wins. If not, Froch takes him into a world of pain.
