With Bret's recent recovery from a stroke he suffered from the bike accident he had and the concussion that forced his retirement in 2000, its very unlikely Bret will ever set foot in the ring again.

Though I'm hearing he is healthy as ever and works out again regularly.

it was goldberg who ended brets carrer.he fucked up 3 spots in that mach.he did a "potaeto"shot a full on elbow to the face wich nearly KO'ed bret.Bret went to do the corber figure four spot he does and goldberg forgot to hold brets leg and he just fell and smashed his head against the floor,and finally a kick full force to the back of Bret's head which forced him into retirement

I'm surprised, no body ever chanted "You screwed bret" whenever goldburg came out...

Frankly, If goldburg didn't give Bret that concussion, he wouldn't have had to retire.

Anyway, I'm glad to see this years draft is somewhat interesting. It's good to see champs being traded, as well as big names, unlike last year, where it was one huge jobber swap.

You're kidding right? That's such a crock of shit, I don't even know where to begin arguing about it.

First off, ECW sucked. The King was right when he called it "Extremely crappy wrestling", because, that's all it was. You couldn't even define it as wrestling, or a fed for that matter. All ECW was, was this watered down version of WCW where a bunch of virtual nobodies wrestled each other because they couldn't wrestle anywhere else in japan, or some local indy fed. It soon became a safe haven for Washed up wrestlers like the funk brothers, And fed Rejects like Shane Douglas/Ron simmons to either become champion, or wrestle in otherwise boring matches(Which is a lot of the same shit that goes on in Tna now, but that's another story)

ECW didn't even become "Extreme" till the mid 90's when they catered into gimmick matches, and 'hardcore' wrestling more and more.
Hell, most of the matches from 95 on were just going throw tables, barbed wire rings, and hitting each other with kendo sticks, just for a cheap way to make a name for themselfs.(which worked, but it was too late). ECW died, for one simple reason, because of it's inability to go national. They couldn't carry a fed that could do 5 matches without so much as bringing in a table or a steel chair, or put on something semi-decent to put on a more credible station.

Everybody talks about how great ecw was, but frankly...there wasn't even that much great about it. The only cool things about ECW was Terry Funk kicking the living shit out Mic foley, New jack, fucking everybody up with random shit, and Sabu get shred and broken to pieces. And yet, most of them aren't even on this one night stand.

Then you look at smackdown. People can actually tolerate a smackdown show and smackdown ppv. Where you can still see awesome matches, and a show that can go on for more than an hour without having to go "extreme".

To say that ECW compares to any fed out there, is a joke. WWE and WCW were 10 times better than ecw. The only thing ECW is better than, is Tna.(but then again, Tna is still a fairly new fed, and has only been around for 2 years...)

dont get me started on total non action wrestling,it has about two good wrestlers in it.then it has shit like x pac and the road dog doing the same tired old crap they did in wwe.and they got the "american dream" dusty rhodes there.WOW what an ego.TNA is total crap in comparison to ECW.hell i prefer smokey mountain wrestling to TNA

Granted it was, because of the main eventers were brought in just to bring face value to their titles...

But it was also the starting ground for many awesome superstars like Flyin Brian Pillman, and Sting.

WCW was always better imo...mostly because the wwe was stale crap at the time...Though, after 98', WCW turned into shit. When they basically went to a repectable fed, to a show that was a huge waste...

Seriously, I stopped watching WCW when they started having title changes every other day.

I agree. Tna has awesome wreslters such as Christoper Daniels, Michael Shane, Petey Williams, and A.J. Styles, yet they burry them under has been main eventers and Fed rejects like:

Scott Hall, Dustin Rhodes, Raven, Jeff Jerret, Kevin Nash, Jeff Hardy, Syxx Pac, Road Dogg, Konan, DDP and such.

Some of them got fired, and Hardy is suspended, but still...
The only good thing about tna is it's ppv's...and that's about it.
