I didn't even look at the time, but I wonder what that squiggly thing under his name is?

Anyway, I brought 3 cd's in with me to get signed: Peace Sells, Born Again (my fav Sabbath album), & the new Sabbath Live At Hammersmith.

After Dave signs the PS disc he goes to sign the one underneath it as well, but (!) it's the Born Again CD (with the baby devil) underneath it. The look he shot me was priceless, since he's now actually born again & renounces any satanic influences, musical & otherwise.

Lomenzo appeared to be with family (daughter, maybe?) cuz they were going through photo albums, so I left them alone. I wanted to ask him how tough it was to play bassplayers parts Oh, well.

There was no sign of Sabbath anywhere, just their roadies & what appearred to be the tour manager. I overheard somebody say the band wasn't particularly thrilled with the sound during the Radio City gig. Somebody also said most of Sabbath's stage set will remain the same for the Europe tour, but the 'gates' may not be going.

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked for the show tomorrow. It's 3 bands that I would go see even if they were the only band on the bill.

          Lucky bastard!

I've been a huge Machine Head fan from day one, I'd kill to meet Robb Flynn.

"The Blackening" is easily the best metal record in years.

I hope the show was a killer!

Setlist's for all bands were the same as the previous shows.

Either Machine Head or Megadeth could easily play full, headliner sets with the amount of quality songs they have. The sound was crystal clear for all the bands. Top-notch sound guys & system

At $39.50 (+ all the bullshit ticketbastard charges), this might be the least expensive arena show I've seen in 10 years.
Props to Sabbath for putting together a kick-ass show & keeping it affordable.

All the bands & crew I met were all great people. Here's a pic of Lomenzo's bass. His tech was cool & let me check the set-up out.

            Peace, Bros

              $39.50?

You couldn't see a decent band in the UK for that amount of money. Tickets would be at least £40 ($80) each.

Only exception I can think of from a big band, Velvet Revolver at £30 ($60).

And that's before booking fees etc, stick another £7-10 on the top.

Gigging is an expensive game over here....

Machine Head are just a phenomenal band, same they're not on the UK leg of the tour....

                    Same here, actually.

But the last 18 months has seen a real increase in ticket prices here, that's the point I was trying to make.

I'm guessing Heaven & Hell tickets here are about £40 + booking fee, + postage/holding fee, right?

If so, that's double the US.

                    Worth it, but expensive nonethless.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, I got tickets to see Fu Manchu for £7. Bargain.

Yea...admittedly, that was a few years ago now.

Even politicians are starting to say its ridiculous...not that most of them have bought a ticket in their life, though.

Imagine Boris Johnson going to see Motley Crue.

Well, I'm hoping for a miracle and that Megadeth extends into the next U.S. jaunt...I don't really have much interest in Machine Head, but I haven't ever seen Megadeth, so that would be cool...

Who's slated to open the 2nd U.S. leg, anyway?

Bob, the new Machine head album, "The Blackening", is amazing.

                          Check it out.

I'll look into it. When it comes to heavy, you've got a good taste bin.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but the floor was general admission for this show, so that may have had something to do with the low ticket prices. Maybe it's less $$$ to insure or something? I dunno. The TU Center hasn't had a general admission show in, well, I don't ever remember one there.

                              Genesis- $57 - $202 + fees 2 tix= $436.50

                              Sabbath owns!

'Burn My Eyes' is a 'must-own' MH album, as well.
