I think John 5 would be an excellent choice. That guy can play anything.
Slash? Give me a fucking break. Never in a million years could he pull off the Randy stuff, or write anything dark or cool enough to be an Ozzy song. Hugely overrated, IMO.

Slash would be the wrong choice for Ozzy, for sure. I don't think he's overated though - he's excellent at what he does, the 'blast-em-out' style of blues playing like Angus Young or Joe Perry.
