I've always wanted to go down as a one hit wonder, what's so bad about that? At least this brainless and aimless world can easily remember the one hit wornders alot better as time goes by. It gets to the point that in all aspects of life history has to keep on repeating itself to stay alive until it wears out the original idea by cheapening it to the point of becomming distorted and it not being able to even withstand becomming recycleable anymore. To the point of not even allowing anyone of us to even tolerate digesting it anymore. Get my drift? It's not just in the music industry it's everywhere and everything......And I'm not gonna stop until I'm banned from existance. The real question that I have is; "What is it?"

I'm happy for Slash that he can make a living doing his own thing without Axhole in his way. Fuck him ! I will admit Guns was one of my favorite shows back in 91. They were awesome !

My slams towards Axl are not to the fans of the music at all. But as a paying fan of him....don't you think you deserve a little bit better than what this guy has dished out over his career? I just don't get it.
I can see why people don't like him one bit yes.But the thing is everyone knows what to expect when they go and see Axl.They know they are going to have to wait a lil longer for him to come out,They buy the tickets knowing this and yet they still complain when it happens. That would be like going to a strip club and complaining you can't grope the dancers.Worse still people go and try and cause trouble to make him walk off and then piss and moan about it.Look at it this way,You are the front man of one of the biggest bands in the world at the peak of your success and loving it.You have come from a turbulent home life and you have the world at your feet.Sounds good no,but your drummer, bassist and both guitarist's are putting all that at risk by drinking anything that is wet and injecting heroin as much as possible.I for one would be sorely pissed. You take a long hiatus and come back and all people do is complain you are not making the same music you did in the 80's and starts saying you are washed up."Fans" who are think they know everything that went down with the original line up start bringing signs saying "where's slash?" and causing trouble. Suddenly the whole world is calling you an asshole and a control freak and has the attitude you owe them this and that.Personally i am more than happy with my 7 GNR albums (8 if you count greatest hit's) and don't feel I deserve any more than I have from Axl.The guy is a Musician,I own all his music and have seen him live,What more Should i want?

The only thing left is to apply for a position as his publicist. Seriously, read back what you posted above. You are asking people that pay good, hard earned cash to "accept" this man's intolerable, irrational, non-professional and childish behavior as part of the price to pay in order to witness his somewhat questionable art.

Ummm,...No. Sure, all artists endure a degree or two of pain in discovering their muse. Yet at no time in history has an entertainer ever so blatantly come out with the idea of expressing to his fans "Hi, I'm Axl Rose. I've suffered for my art. Now It's your turn." Paying money to see this bonehead, then having to wait hours past when he is supposed to show up only to witness him slam a microphone down and walk off stage after 12 minutes is not exactly what I'd call a pleasant evening of entertainment offered by a professional musician. And to say that this nitwit's fans expect that sort of treatment, as well as except it is downright, ass-headedly insulting.

There are literally thousands of hard-working, unknown bands out there, made up of folks supporting families and sharing real responsibilities working 2-3 jobs daily, yet still find time to rehearse, write and occasionally record their own songs, but struggle to achieve outlets for these tunes, let alone find places to perform them at. And if they do find a place to play, what they are paid barely covers the cost of the gas that is needed to get them to the gig. Despite this, they manage to show up on time and respect the folks that arrive to support them.

The bottom line is as follows, along with some heartfelt advice: Fuck Axl Rose and the crippled horse he rode in on. Fuck his tantrums, fuck his ticket prices and the lottery involved as to whether he'll show up to a gig on time. And most of all, fuck the insipid and completely embarrassing rationalization that is required to be a fan of the guy, which only makes a blithering idiot out of anyone that attempts to defend him.

Instead, invest roughly 1/10th of the money you'd waste on this ego-centric crap-fer-brains upon visiting a tavern, pub or bar located in your area and take in the hard-working efforts of some local or undiscovered, under-the-radar touring band. You will find yourself not only far more vastly entertained, the crowd less surly, the food to be better, the beer much colder and the parking to be far more convenient.

I think the point is that if you DO choose to invest your money in a G'N'R show these days, you know what to expect: to be waiting.....and waiting.....and waiting.......

Yeah, he's an asshole for doing it; but if you choose to pay and then bitch about something you knew was going to happen, who's the fool?

The last laugh is on Axl, however - the hatred out there for him complete blinded people to Chinese Democracy, and will continue to do so for all other releases he puts out there. Shame.

Back in the old days no. We learned about the ways of Axl the hard way. It sucked. That's why I won't go back.

Exactly. The question "don't you think you deserve a little bit better than what this guy has dished out over his career?" was put to me,I answered. After years of Axl being late and walking off it is pretty much given you will need to wait and he may walk off.Not once did I say "We the fans would not be happy if we did not HAVE to wait to see our god Axl" as people seem to think I did,And when exactly did I ask people that pay good, hard earned cash to "accept" this man's intolerable, irrational, non-professional and childish behavior as part of the price to pay in order to witness his somewhat questionable art?. I would very much like it if the band came on at 9 like they are supposed to,But I know it won't happen. Why sit and bitch about it?.I paid for a ticket because I want to hear one of my favourite singers sing some of my favourite songs. The only way I can do that is by waiting an extra hour or so meh.Anyone who pay's good, hard earned cash and is shocked Axl didn't hit the stage on time,as has been said who's the fool?

I am also aware there are literally thousands of hard-working, unknown bands out there, made up of folks supporting families and sharing real responsibilities.I also know they show up on time,I have seen many myself.Good to them.I enjoy a good unknown band most weekend's as I do some hours behind the bar at a rock bar.Saw a great one the other week actually,The song that got the biggest cheer was Rocket Queen

I get that. You were a fan and he disappointed you with all the drama.I am guessing you were at a show when he didn't show or something?.But to answer the question,No I am happy enough with what i have. When I have seen the band they have sounded tight and Axl's voice has been great
