I won't answer this because I am not a fan at all and I don't want to go on & on about how he can't sing, can't write, can't please the fans & be a good frontman, etc... There are multiple examples of all. A better question would be what talent does Axl have?
It's very hard to prove something that isn't there (God?) Easier to prove something that is there.
But hey, if you enjoy him that's awesome! I probably like a lot of stuff others don't or wouldn't. it all boils down to what you like personally & makes you happy. And no one should be able to tell you otherwise what should or should not sound good to your ear. Don't let Axl's personality bias your opinion of his talent. He was/is a very good songwriting with an unique vision and approach to writing lyrics.
