I believe anyone can play any song live but you technically you have to pay a small royalty to the original writers. To release a recording Asshole will have got a little royalty for the DVD but not so much that he would notice.

Appetite you gotta admit there's some goosebump moments, but GNR music doesn't make me feel the pure happiness with a shit eating grin that Van Halen makes me feel. Whoever said before that GNR sounds dated is on the money. That CD is collecting dust under a lot of other shit collecting dust. All the Van Halen albums are on my bed and within grabbing distance.... still.

Right on the money. I can still listen to You're Crazy, Rocket Queen and a couple of others but they aren't in the same universe as Van Fucking Halen.
