          Axl apologizes to Cleveland

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose apologized to Cleveland on Tuesday for not attending last weekend's Rock Hall inductions. "Cleveland does in fact Rock!!" he said in a statement. Plus, Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline team up for charity, and more in Wednesday's The Morning After.

I gotta say, he does handle himself well with words. His ego shenannigans aside, I can dig where he's coming from and agree with what he did.

the thing is, NO ONE can get an answer to who's on the nominating committee and other foundation groups. the guy from the PD tried to find out but i think they didn't want to push too hard.

one thing to remember...inductees get to vote on new inductees. so hopefully the induction of (insert names here) will start to influence the vote. for all i know, Wenner has the final say so that may not be a valid theory.

this is the absolute last moment in time for this band........as soon as Izzy left, this band was done. Next thing you know they have a piano player, a flute player and a brass section.....3-4 yrs of being raw, and really good.....then 20+ yrs of absolutely nothing but garbage.

But I cannot believe they were inducted prior to Rush, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Yes.... and even Def Leppard. WTF?? Fuck you RRHOF!

The wheels came off the Axl a long time ago. Which is basically saying the guy has gone nowhere.

I just for some reason was listening to the live version of the GN'R song "Dust N' Bones", and forgot how good of a song that was. (doesn't hurt that I've actually been on the "65" he's referenced many a times )

It kind of donned on me that, when GN'R was at it's best was when it was trying to be like old school aerosmith, and rolling stones song, with a harder edge to them.

Those songs for some reason have aged very well, much like Aerosmith's "Rocks" album, and "Sticky Fingers" by the Stones.

When Axl tried to mold the band into something like Queen/Elton John, it just didn't mesh well. I mean kudos to him for trying something different, but there was a clearly a formula there that shouldn't have been fucked with.

He had a very good "Toxic Twins" part 3 going on, and he really fucked it up.

Both live era disc's are killer,I will agree the straight up rock songs are far better than the other song directions they went in

He lost whatever creative flair he had years ago.

Slash is in the business of being 'Slash'......more so than being a guitarist. Probably more money in it that way.

It might be great, and I think he has the chops to be great when he wants to. But he sure spends a lot of time being the image of Slash. A shit ton of cameos & appearances & guest spots. I would bet that there are a ton of people who thinks he shreds....yet have never heard him play. If that makes any sense.
