" that flatulent fart of a song that wafts noxiously around the arena at stupid o'clock".That line made me laugh,I also found "the jowly bigot" funny

In all seriousness I am actually kinda relieved I can't make it to the Manchester show.No way would I be able to get home at 2am.And that story about the kid was tragic sadaist,I apologise for any pro Axl remarks I may have made in your direction

Well, I think the last paragraph sums it up - if you're behaving the same way at 50 as you were at 21 then it's kinda sad.

I love Chinese Democracy and think Axl is a very talented guy - but he clearly has contempt both for himself and his fans. I wonder if the lateness things is really just a way of getting publicity....

Axl Rose hasn't been relevant since 1991. Great review by the Brits though, thoroughly enjoyed it. Axl is so "punk" and "hardcore" that he gets into fist fights with tough guys like Tommy Hilfiger out in the Hamptons on Long Island......go away Axl......the world does not need anymore of your crappy attitude and even crappier music.

It's all good. Just remember DB, I slam AXL....not usually the GnR music itself. I'm glad you are a fan and enjoy thetunes. I'm glad for anyone anywhere that finds music they love. I just think Axl needs to treat his fans better. YOU deserve better.

Appetite was superb and hit the world at the most cosmically perfect moment in time. When I hear it I am taken back to good times in my youth. To me it does sound a bit burned out now but still good. I just never really got in to anything after that based on my experience with Axl.

This may top it all. Security won't let you in if you are wearing a Slash t-shirt and then he starts the show over an hour late. How anyone, anywhere could somehow be a fan of Axl Rose is beyond my comprehension.

I have seen clips of "GnR" online with Bucketface or whatever he's called playing guitar and I have seen Slash in person with Myles Kennedy singing and I hate to break it to Axl, but HE is the one who has been replaced, regardless of who is parading around masquerading as Guns and Roses.

Guns N' Roses ban fans from wearing Slash t-shirts to their UK gigs

The division between Guns N' Roses' current line-up and their former members is well documented, with the fallout between singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash particularly infamous.

However, the current line-up's management team have taken extreme steps to distance themselves from their classic version, by banning anyone coming to their UK tour from wearing a Slash t-shirt.

During the band's gig at London's O2 Arena last night (May 31), an NME source noticed that a member of the crowd was bare-chested under his jacket. When asked why, 18-year old James Revell said he was told to remove his top because no one was allowed in wearing a Slash T-shirt.

The source then asked security if this was the case and was told by a member of the venue's team: "We were told by the management not to allow anyone into the O2 Arena who is wearing a Slash T-shirt and we are asking anyone who is to remove it and if they refuse they will be turned away."

Then asked what about the people sitting at the back who cannot be seen from the stage, the security guard replied: "This is what we were told."

Speaking to NME today (June 1) about his ordeal, Revell described what had happened. He said: "I felt very angry because I was looking after my little brotther at the time and felt as though my freedom to wear what I want had been taken away from me, however i did not react angrily as I didn't want to spoil the show for him."

Then asked why he thought the band had acted in this manner he said: "I believe they asked me to do this because Axl Rose has some problem with Slash and if he saw me wearing the shirt he might have stormed off stage."

Revell then spoke of his anger about the request and revealed that the band were also so late onstage that he only saw three songs.

He added: "I have never experienced anything as insulting as that at a concert before and I had to sit there in my little brothers jumper and wait for Axl to turn up well over an hour late, which we could only stay to watch 3 songs as we had to catch a train back. I think that Axl Rose doesn't appreciate his fans or anyone for that matter, he needs to grow up and stop acting like a child."

As well as this, the band have been roundly criticised on their UK tour for their late starts, even taking to the stage at 11.15pm in Manchester on Tuesday (May 29).

Guns N' Roses end their UK tour tonight (June 1) with a second show at London's O2 Arena.

Here's where I stand with Axl:

                                1) Dude is a great songwriter/composer. No question - 'Chinese Democracy' may not be a GNR record, but there's some devastating stuff on it.

                                2) He can REALLY put a song across. Check out 'Estranged' and then count how many rock singers could do it.

                                3) Back in the day he was a very, very good frontman.

But in 2012, you've got to think the following:

                                1) Dude, have some self respect. You're an entertainer and a rock n roller - look like one. Lose 50 pounds for fuck sake, you're supposed to be a God.

                                2) No one thinks that the current GNR line up is worth a damn. Solving this does not require working with Slash. There is a middle ground. Duff is not doing anything now that Velvet Revolver is on ice, call him; Gilby Clarke has not been doing anything since 1994, call him (because Izzy would probably laugh at you); Matt Sorum is also free, call him. Then, at least when you play those old songs they might actually have some of the swing and menace that they used to have, and people would stop thinking of GNR as a cabaret act.

                                3) Turn up on time. It is not difficult.
