I would definately say give her something. Flowers is a safe bet. It shouldn't go wrong because it shows that you have an interest. At least I would see it that way.

If she's playful, buy her a candy bracelet or something. Make a joke, something like that.

I remember on my second date with my guy he got me a model car cuz we were talking on the first date about our dream cars. He also gave me his cowboy hat to wear. It was so cute and unexpected. I loved it. And it deffy gave him some points.

aint that the truth! I had a girlfriend who complained about getting roses, said she prefered other flowers and wasnt nice about it.

I don't like roses either, I prefer Lillis and Orchids...
So when I started my relationship, I got roses and pretended that they where my "favorite flowers"...
for quite a while.

Then years after, I told him (as we walked by a frowerist) that I really liked "those" (pointing out an orchid)...
So he said; "Why didn't you tell me that before?"

I answered; "Honey, If thinking about me makes you think about pink roses,
then that's enough to make me love roses..."

Now I get my favorite "Casablanca Lilly" every once in a while...

see ....thaats consideration! sometimes its not always about the gift but the thought. I know, how bad can it be if a guy thinks of you as a rose ? lol roses do smell nice and look nice. but I guess they are the norm every yer.

my wife likes wild flowers, lilys, daisies....etc

maybe it has to do with having kids. my wife was a sweet heart before we had kids, as soon as we had kids all the sweetness was gone. now shes really tough and rough around the edges. like carrie from king of queens. shes def her twin!
