Kids Movie: The Golden Compass

I heard about this last night at church. There is a
movie coming out in the fall,(The Golden Compass) it
is part of a series written by an atheist. It is a
childrens' movie. It stars Nicole Kidman and will be
out soon.

It is about kids written as an adventure series
looking for God, etc. When they find him, they try to
kill him. It is being boycotted by the Catholic
Church, as well as protestants. It is geared toward parents and children, and will be out soon.

As to this movie though, it seems a faulty concept. Why would an atheist be obsessed with killing God or myself, when he claims not to believe in either of us??
