I LOVED Jerry Reed since I was a kid. I went to see all the Burt Reynolds movies in the theater when I was little, then watched them over and over on cable.

Jerry was executive producer of another favorite, Bat 21. I also have the book.

Jerry Reed was the MAN!!! There's a guy who lives not far from me here in NC that owns a trucking company and went out and bought the same rig and trailer used in Smokey and the Bandit and had it hand painted just like the one from the movie.

Here's a hint - the main character died in his Corvette and I have touched his "death car" and had my picture made with it when I was a kid. Hell, we didn't have much more to do around here back in those days
