Because regular coke is too damn syrupy and it tastes flat compared to diet coke. I actually prefer caffeine free diet coke because it seems to have more zing to it than diet coke. But then again, I only drink the diet stuff because that's what I've had since I was a kid and mom started buying Tab. Which was the worst damn syrupy shit ever. Do they even make that anymore?

If you go to the Coke Hdqts in Atlanta, they have all the formulas from everywhere in the world that you can test, and yes, European coke is different than ours.
