Well, officially, here we go.

For the good of the Army and to keep the Sheep Pen alive, I am stepping down as Sheep Pen President. There really seems to be no other choice, for now. The bottom line is that we've been inundated with childish crap for the past few days, and the mods, plus Max, Bill, Lou, Bob and myself, are fucking tired of seeing a once-great thread be ruined by a few hateful dickheads.

The bottom line is that a few assholes set out to destroy me (and the Sheep Pen in the process). Unfortunately for them, they will do neither. I am not going anywhere. And the Sheep Pen can certainly survive in the capable hands of our current Administrators: Bill, Lou and Bob. No President...let them run it as a group. I also nominate Big Troubles, Matt and Rebel to step in and do some shearing as they've done such a great job (if they're interested).

I want to thank the various friends and posters that have offered support (both in posts and PMs) over the past few days. It will always be appreciated and never forgotten. You're all awesome.

Furthermore, I want to state the following: for MAX, this is it. He is stepping down. He has a family to raise and mod duties to take care of, and having to be attacked at every step by people he did nothing to is pretty awful stuff. He just can't take it anymore, and I don't blame him.

As for me, I am not stepping down for good. I am taking a hiatus. I am leaving the Pen in the capable hands of the people I discussed. Frankly, I could continue to run the Pen with Bill and the others, but it just doesn't seem possible right now because the soap opera is ruining a great thread. It is clear they want me out...so for now, I'll appease them. I am doing it for one reason and one reason only: I fucking love the DLR ARMY. It's the best music forum in the world, and I certainly don't want Main being spammed with bullshit. My "friends" want nothing more than to keep spamming it. But this time, they'll have to follow me elsewhere (like the Dump) if they want to play such games. But I want nothing but the best for the Army. And that's why I'll step down and take my hiatus and leave this place in super-capable hands. I’ll be back soon! Watch this space!

I would also like to express my appreciation for all the fun Max and myself have had in the Pen. The two of us started the Pen months back, and soon Bill was also invited to contribute. And it wasn't really until Bill joined that the place became hilarious to me. Dude is funnier than maybe anyone else at this site. He took our usual jokes and posts and elevated them to a new level of hilarity. Bill is one fucking funny son of a bitch. The sheep are so afraid of him that he’s been known in the Cell Block as “Nurse Ratchet”. Fuck yeah! Keep it strong while I’m gone, Bill. Then we got Lou, and goddamn this dude was funny as hell and the best picker of sheep we’ve had. Props to Louie! This mother fucker’s been a loyal Administrator and is a great mod! I can’t express how proud I’ve been to have Lou on board this super-popular thread. Big numbers come in to the Army because of this little Sheep Pen that Max and I started. And Lou has shown his support and loyalty since Day One. Lou, you are a great friend. Thank you. Of course, our newest addition, Bueno Bob, is also one fucking tough little son of a bitch. This guy has beat the shit out of every sheep we’ve thrown away. He has a stack of bodies high enough to climb a mountain…and he’s only been here for a little over a week!! Keep fighting the good fight, Bob. Since then, we haven't looked back. We have a bunch of great sheep in the Pen too...and they'll continue to remain there. If you have any great suggestions for these individuals, tell them and the Pen will continue to thrive. I hope to be back at some point. But for now, it's more important for the Pen to stay open so that it's not destroyed than for me to be there to satisfy the insanity of few losers.

The Pen has been super-popular...the amount of posts and the amount of PM's I've received with ideas, congratulations, suggestions, etc...has been astounding. Hell, even Linkers read the fucking Pen. People in other rooms have come to Main to read the Pen. It's almost at 3000 posts and 20000 views. That's amazing.

So again, make sure that every Hagar-loving Roth-attacking sheep that comes in here is shown to a cell and is forced to eat from his trough. It's not gonna change for them.
