That's not the point. The point is that Bush has no overwhelming mandate! If he tries to pursue his second term as such, he will lose!

            1. Voting against the ACLU half the time doesn't automatically make you a moderate. lmao

            2. Show me some proof of this "about 53% against."

I'd like to see that map along with a more scaled version of how the counties look vs population of the counties. Would be interesing.
I've got the cure you're thinkin' of.

I'm trying to find the link that I pulled that map from. Below it, it cited overall population, square mileage, etc.......

                    Here we go:

                    Bush 2.51 million

                    Kerry 511,700

                    Population (2003) of counties won:

                    Bush 150,9 million

                    Kerry 103.6 million

Counties won by less than 5 percentage points:

                    Bush 162

                    Kerry 131

What does it matter, Bush won by 3.5 million votes. That's it! Not a bad margin of victory, but by no-means a mandate much less a land-slide, assuming those Die Bold machines were on the level!

When you factor in all the additional seats gained in senate and house, and the additional republican governors, the fact that only a few presidents in the last one hundred years accomplished these gains, and the fact that he received the most votes in history, only a fool would pretend that this is not a mandate.

You really like bumper stickers don't you Hellvis. So easy to distill a thought down to a four of five word slogan:

Red does not mean stupid in the Bible. Why don't you read it before you go saying things about it you don't know.

You really are an idiot, aren't you? And here I thought perhaps Phil was the only one.
