It's fucking impossible to imagine 23 000 people being killed in a single event. I was trying to put it in some sort of perspective.

Because it's 'over there' I think we don't feel it affects us but it shouldn't be like that. Why should a dead baby you've never met in Thailand mean any less or more than a dead baby you don't know 50 miles away?
