We extend our condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives today and our heartfelt sympathy to all those who have been injured by the bombs in London.

No one can condone acts of violence aimed at working people going about their daily lives. They have not been a party to, nor are they responsible for, the decisions of their government. They are entirely innocent and we condemn those who have killed or injured them.

The loss of innocent lives, whether in this country or Iraq, is precisely the result of a world that has become a less safe and peaceful place in recent years.

We have worked without rest to remove the causes of such violence from our world. We argued, as did the security services in this country, that the attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorist attack in Britain. Tragically Londoners have now paid the price of the government ignoring such warnings.

We urge the government to remove people in this country from harms way, as the Spanish government acted to remove its people from harm, by ending the occupation of Iraq and by turning its full attention to the development of a real solution to the wider conflicts in the Middle East.

Only then will the innocents here and abroad be able to enjoy a life free of the threat of needless violence.

That's not what I meant. Al-Qaida certainly bombed LONDON this moring, but now all of the right-wing dipshits will rush to use this as a rational for continued and destructive occupation of IRAQ, effectively handing Al-Qaida everything they want.

Did you know that the BRITISH ARMY and MI-6 transferred a majority of their military intelligence, special ops, and covert capability to IRAQ a few months ago? I'd be pissed if I were a UKer today alright. Maybe their people should be defending LONDON and not occupying southern IRAQ. Maybe we shouldn't invade countries to satisfy a prefabricated agenda and use tragic terrorist attacks such as 9/11 as a rationale for doing so.

Al-Qaida only entered Iraq in 2004, maybe 2003 at the earliest. Hell, Al-ZARQAWI and Bin LADEN didn't even like each other previously as best we can tell...

February 26, 1993: Six people killed and 1,000 injured after truck bomb explodes in the basement of the World Trade Center towers in New York.

November 13, 1995: Five US soldiers and two Indian nationals are killed and more than 60 people wounded when a car bomb explodes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

June 25, 1996: Nineteen killed and 386 wounded when a truck bomb explodes at the US military base of Khobar near the town of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia.

Febuary 23, 1998: Bin Laden issues fatwa stating: “The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies–civilians and military–is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it”

August 7, 1998: 224 people killed and over 5000 injured, mostly Africans,when bomb attacks are made on US embassies in Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam in east Africa.

October 12, 2000: 17 US sailors killed and 38 injured when a suicide attack on USS Cole in Aden is carried out.
