However, I do remember a few people from your side of the political spectrum on this board having not a care in the world of the photos being released of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison. The difference is that the Iraqis already knew what was going on not just at Abu Ghraib, but at nearly every overcrowded, understaffed detention facility. And the insurgency had already exploded before the photos came out...

Read Thomas Rick's Fiasco!. Iraqi imams and tribal leaders were complaining to U.S. officials and journalists about conditions at the detention facilities as early as 2003. And secondly, it was the Administration's and military's fault for rounding up every Iraqi they could on any charge completely unrelated to the insurgency and subjecting them to this...
