I swear to God almighty... you drive by the Coors brewery in Golden, and it literally smells like something died in there.

Now I live about a mile from the (now defunct) Olympia brewery, and even though the beer they produced there was generally watered down swill, the smells that came from the place were never bad. So I don't know what the fuck they're doing at Coors, but even if I drank crap beer, I'd never touch anything they made.

Didn't Coops become famous in the 70s' because they were non-union and transporting it across state lines to people who preffered non-union beer would pay 5X the retail amount..people got rich doing that ?.

Oddly the worst smelling factory I ever drove past was a sugar plant down near Brawley, CA. DEATH!

Coors Lite is a really good beer when we would go camp at the river in the summer. When it's 112 degrees anything heavier would wipe you the fuck out way too fast. Coors Lite when ice cold is watery enough to keep you from dying in the heat and enough alcohol to maintain a decent buzz all day.

Never really tried the other types of Coors. Think I might have had 1 or 2 regular Coors, but don't really remember about them. I just think of it as a Clint Eastwood regular guy living in the south type beer. maybe it was in some movies or TV series? Something had to leave that impression on me.

Correct. My dad wouldn't allow Coors beer in the house, and not just because it tasted like shit. The Coors family are known for active involvement in extremist right wing politics, so naturally they would hate unions.

I remember the deal, I was into Schlitz when the Coops craze happened. I am kinda against the union jazz, at some parts of my life, others.. I think they are the best training ground for employment around ,but I did have issues with the truckers and large union organizations refusing to ship Coors and the bullying of the beer owner to home state only, due to Coops non-union stance,,.. and watching the state by state gangland that happened, was wild.

I litterally knew High School friends who went to Colorado to get Coops and bring it back across state line, for profit or just to have some for themselves.. I was a little drug head and fool, but trafficing and interstate commerce crimes, was even stupid sounding to me..lol

The Big House at Levenworth for federal crimes not worth the money..lol

What is it about American beers companies?

The Budweiser Busch people are very right wing too aren't they?

                        They aren't even American anymore.

Sorry never knew they had been bought over a few years ago by what reads like some sort of Belgian/Brazilian evil multinational who have been horrible for employees.

I also see that they have sold Sea World which means maybe I don't need to keep telling people to boycott it when I hear they are going on vacation in Florida.
