Sure they can - and now that word of it has gotten out, they shouldn't be AT ALL surprised that a lot of people are offended by who they align themselves with and will choose not to do business with them.

I guess that's the center of the issue... what they believe and how they choose to donate. All that seems to be the preference of their CEO/President, which is within his rights.

I'm still not really sure what people are all worked up about on either side of the debate... The restaurants themselves aren't doing anything more than selling crap chikin to whoever walks in the door. Why does it matter how the management spends profits outside of the business?
