There's the simple concept of discretion... He could believe and donate to his heart's content to whatever suits him. I think he did a major disservice to his company, share holders, employees and local economies that their stores are located by shootin off his Christian mouth about a belief system that doesn't have shit from shinola to do with the fast food industry or restaurant management. Defining himself is one thing... applying that to a chikin restaurant chain is totally another.

Chick-fil-a is a privately held company it is not run with publicly traded shares. The company has always displayed it Christian values for everyone who walks through the door. Every location has a sign advising you that they are open 6 days a week and that they are closed on Sundays so you can worship if you choose to do so. Since Judaism's sabbath is Friday night through Saturday evening, and Muslims don't have a sabbath (OK men do have to attend prayer at a Mosque on Friday) what other religion observes Sunday as a day of worship? That only leaves one - Christianity. Chic-fil-a has operated that way since 1946 when it started.

This situation is very similar to the Augusta National Golf Club not allowing women members. The club is private. It takes no Federal or State money. It can do what it wants. Chick-fil-a is not a public business. It is controlled by the founder who is the owner. He can do what he wants.

This is another example of the hot button red herring issues that the ruling powers put out there to keep people divided and not talking about the real issues that face us as a Nation. Why should I or anybody care if the founder of Chick-fil-a sits on one side or another of gay marriage. Also, if you do care I have to ask why? You aren't going to change his mind about it and he isn't gonna change yours.

I don't eat there because I like or dislike what the owner has to say about gay marriage. I don't care. I eat there because their chicken taste good. That's all.

I wouldn't know. In the last twenty years, not one, but TWO Dominoes franchises closed down in my hometown because:

A.) they suck ass

B.) there are so many good little pizza/wing/sub takeout places here

I think there maybe a couple of Dominoes in the greater Buffalo area, but not many. Ones in the city and I'm sure it survives on out-of-townees and people that are to lazy to pick up their own food...

I have had decent pizza at Uno's Chicago Grill & Bar...

Best pizza joint Olympia ever had was called "Jo Mama's" and it was started by some Evergreen graduates in the early 70s. It was in an old house (same block of Pear Street where Kurt Cobain would eventually reside)and the type of pizza you would expect from Greeners.... whole grain crust, and enough veggies piled on top of the pizza that you didn't even need to worry about a salad bar. And they served their drinks in old Mason jars, and played hippie music on the sound system. And the pizza was so damn dense that you could easily feed the whole family with one pie. Doubt I ever ate more than 2 slices in one sitting.

They kept the place going up until the mid 90s, and then the owners had moved into local politics, so they let it go. Goddamn shame, as nothing else has ever come close since then

As I mentioned earlier in this thread ( love that self grandstanding, I do) it is the same set up as any burger
joint but their chicken is only shredded or pulled white meat from chicken breasts, it is stll made into a patty at the main factory but it isn't extruded meat.

I am not going to explain extruded I am sure you know.

Ok here you may understand this... it is only stepped on once by the manufacturer not by second and third teer dealers..so you are getting some first rate chicken breast no fillers.
