I don't see where ANYONE is saying that the servicemembers themselves were not dedicated to the mission to which they were assigned....

Moreover, if they were to go into a mission half-assed, those same ones usually ended up dead or wounded....

Once again, that has NOTHING to do with questioning the mission itself with the people who order them into battle....

I'm in agreement as far as the Irag bullshit. But I still respect the soldier who went there and believed in what he or she did. I don't agree about Afghanistan. I think the taliban supported al-qeada and Bin Laden and they were the ones behind the events of 9/11.
If you went there and believed in what you were doing how would you feel about someone else saying it was all a bunch of bullshit? Pretty damn disrespected.

Bottom line is that the US military has not been used to defend THIS country even once since 1945.

Korea. Vietnam. Afghanistan. Iraq (Poppy OR Chimpy's version).

None of it had a goddamn thing to do with THIS country.

My point is this. Troops came back from Nam who put their lives on the line everyday and some of them still think they served a purpose. They came back and to this day not only do they fell no respect they get downright disrespected. Now these vets coming home are going to get the same treatment. You can't say you respect someone and call them an idiot for believing in what they were doing at the same time.
