Or, we could debate about political views 'till we're blue in the face & go to bed at night feeling like we made a difference.

Which of those options do you think makes a difference?
what you seem to not be able to nor want to do is address what to do when a responsible person has a bad seed child or a person changes and has a mental health issue later in life - then what ??

parents are protective of their children healthy or sick - people cannot be involuntarily committed due to patient rights .. now what to do ?

That's like saying how can toxic waste be the problem; you have a lame-O deconstructionist argument. Guns were made to put holes in human beings. They serve no other purpose! And when you have such easy access to them to so many individuals (and spare me this whole mentally ill bullshit stance) then yes, they ARE a problem, a problem to the safety of society as a whole. Seems so many people even can't even go to school or a shopping mall anymore without dying all because a whining little bitch like you just HAS to have their assault rifle to make up for al thier macho shortcomings in life.

Or (such as was the case at Columbine) they send somebody else to a gun show to buy it for them. Or you have the Lanza case, where one sick mental case fuck bought the guns, and then her sick mental case fuck son is the one who used them.

So technically guns aren't the problem. Ridiculously easy access to guns by felons and mental cases IS.
So what would you do differently ? confiscate all guns - then start over ?

felons are criminals who do what ? bad things like break laws - mental cases ... who gets evaluated and how often ? what age does it begin, when does it end ?

would you like to know how to kill someone and get away with murder ?? no gun needed either ..

Turn left in front of a motorcycle - the cyclist will more than likely die and the driver will get ticketed for failure to maintain the right of way ..

should motorcycles be illegal or should drivers be responsible and punished as a killer, negligent homicide if they kill a biker ?

The first thing should be done is to treat guns like you do cars. You cannot drive a car legally until you can prove you are capable of doing so responsibly. And cars aren't even designed for the purpose of killing, though they certainly can do so when used incorrectly.

What's wrong with a "gun license", preceded by a "gun safety" course? Preferably with a background check before you sign up, since obviously the gun licenses should only go to those who are not felons or mental cases in the first place.

If it can be proven that your actions were negligent in that situation, you would likely be charged with vehicular homicide. Difference here is that both the driver of the motorcycle and the driver of the car had to get a license to be able to operate those vehicles.

I belong to a gun club, I shoot trap & skeet and punch paper - that would mean shooting at targets fwiw

I also keep a loaded 12ga. in the bedroom - if the woman is home alone and someone wants to break in she knows to call 911 and gat behind the bed and aim the gun at the door in case someone wants to rob or rape - crime happens - it doesn't mean a target must be a victim - sometimes a target of crime can be a self defender - but they need a weapon to do so if the criminal is bigger, stronger or armed

You do it in a case by case basis, you fuckin' political retard.

                      Look at your posts.

They're all about solving problems by numbers & about how much it costs.

Politicians sure did a number on you. Is that all you care about? You're brainwashed. You see people as numbers. People are NOT numbers.

If everyone looks at their own problems & take responsibility, all of them can be solved in a local basis, as is required, at hardly any cost for everyone, instead of relying on the government to do it in a generic, money-consuming way.

Do you actually think it makes you sound smart when you talk like a politician?

                      It doesn't.

                          Guns like cars.

                          I like it.

Simple. easy. Kinda works. Works enough to take gun issues out of the foreground. One major problem solved with no republican or liberal agenda.

Brilliant. I applaud you, Ford. Well done.

                          Cheers! :bottle:

have you ever known a person with mental health issues and seen what little law enforcement can do ?

or have you ever known a parent who defends an idiot, mean, aggressive child ??

Another bullshit deconstructionist argument. Motorcycles were not made to put holes in human beings, they were intended for transportation and yet you somehow equate human error that can lead to unintentional death to that of a mass shooting. Do you see the absurdity of your argument? I own a car, it gets me from point A to point B, I also own a gun, I know what it was made for, too. Unlike you, I don't confuse or distort what either one was intentionally made for if one ever led to the death of another human being.
