there are laws that say those guns should not be in the hand of the criminals - but they get the guns - so how to stop that - by punishing legal gun owners ?

Somewhere along the line, a "legal gun owner" put the gun in the hand of that felon/mental case.

Maybe it was a gun nut who is so deranged by NRA bullshit and right wing hate radio that he doesn't give a cherub's pink ass whom he sells weapons to.

Maybe it was stolen from a moron who didn't give enough of a shit to properly secure his own weapons. Who bought the guns to defend his home, but didn't bother to lock them up in a safe when he wasn't there.

Or maybe it was an online gun dealer - which should not exist at all, in my Most Unholy opinion.

And in any of those three cases, the "legal gun owner" should be charged with any crime committed with that weapon, since they are just as much to blame as the felon who actually did it.
