Not sure how the gun control thread became the Jesus thread, but I have seen the above quote demonstrated more times in my life than I can count. People proclaiming their faith the loudest are usually the ones furthest from Christ's teachings.

That's another fucked up thing about Bible. You'll find pro and con for everything. It contradicts itself. And if you wanna be a rapist, you'll find pro-rape verses in there too.

But the in the new testament, when Jesus comes into the pictuere there are basicly two rules. About the only one god and "don't do to others etc..." The whole philosphy radiates peace and being the bigger person. So no, nobody neutral will interpret Jesus as pro guns. Only people with pro gun agenda will twist it around to fit people who already made up their minds to have a gun but the christianity gets in the way.
