I think this would be the case. It has already happened once in American history. In 1863 Federal troops were brought from the Battle of Gettysburg to New York City to put down draft riots and were ordered to fire upon unarmed protesters. Hundreds were killed in the streets of New York and subsequently thousands of soldiers deserted. In today's society where conscientious objection is encouraged I doubt any such order would be followed.

No, OD, I believe the US Congress with over regulating fucked the banks. They legislated to banks to make these shit loans. They wanted a quota of minority loans and housing loans and these are the loans that defaulted. The US Congress fucked these people out of their homes and businesses and savings.

Let me over simply for those that are not licensed pros: Used to, a bank made home loan and the rate was 5%. They charged 6% and everyone was happy. Under Carter rates were 17% for a home loan. Banks charged 19%.

Now rates are roughly 4% and no one can repay them. What happened in between? Interstate banking and too many rules. All those holdings ended up in a few places.

I know of at least two instances where blacks were stepped over for startup loans locally. And BTW, you don't get a business loan without asking.
