I did. I pointed out that you were mischaracterizing an event you were posting allegorically by ignoring the very fundamental differences between wartime and peacetime. obviously the government and their soldiers are going to be a good deal more ruthless in a national emergency like a civil insurrection or in a regional emergency where martial law is declared. Also, the Posse Comitatus Act was passed after the Civil War and during Reconstruction owning to the abuses of local pols using Federal Troops in law enforcement functions they are not really trained for with some exceptions like MP's or SP's...
Americans should be more worried about the First Amendment...

TAMPA --
Volunteers at Meals on Wheels in Tampa are used to helping others. But this time, they're on the receiving end.
Sweetbay Supermarket donated a new van to transport hot and cold lunches and dinners to seniors in need across the Bay area.
"We have two other vans, but both older and somewhat in disrepair," said Director Steve King.
The van brings the meals to the 15 drop off points for volunteers in Tampa. From there, they are brought to seniors. Without the van, volunteers would have to drive to the agency's headquarters off Hillsborough Avenue.
"It'll certainly be easier to get things where they need to be. This van will allow us to feed more people," said King.
Sweetbay also donated enough money to feed 10,400 seniors.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. SnyderComment

ST. PETERSBURG — When Sweetbay Supermarket announced plans last week to close its Midtown store, Mayor Bill Foster said he was stunned and knew nothing about declining sales.
City officials say $1.4 million in public money was spent to build Tangerine Plaza, where Sweetbay opened in 2005.
Foster's critics have used the store's closure as proof that he doesn't have close enough ties to business leaders in Midtown.
"I think it's a shame for the mayor to hold a press conference to admit he doesn't know what was going on," said Darden Rice, president of the League of Women Voters of St. Petersburg,
Others blame the disconnect on his 2011 firing of Goliath Davis, who served as police chief, deputy mayor and senior administrator of community enrichment and was perceived as City Hall's unofficial liaison to the black community and business leaders.
The relationships disappeared with Davis, said council member Leslie Curran.
"Somebody should be in the position to know about the city's investments," she said. "(Sweetbay) didn't even bother to tell the mayor. The CEO of this city has to have relationships."
Love this outcome. Blacks, seniors, LoWV all voted for Ubama. Good job OWS.
OWS assholes protested this store and now they are begging to keep it open. It is closing.
Have to find a new place for food stamp customers to shop.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. SnyderComment

There's a cluster of houses around here and the home owners all chipped in and put up a big ass windmill. They are on top of a ridge that's always windy so it's probably going to put out electricity most the time. I'm just curious to see how many maintenance problems they will have. I hear big windmills are a maintenance nightmare. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment
