You're being blinded by the media and all those who won't see that this 17 yr old kid was not innocent in this. He had a chance to just walk home. He had a chance to walk over and explain the situation with civility. He didn't know if Zimmerman was a off duty cop or whatever. Instead he chose to confront Zimmerman with violence and it cost him his life. Like i stated in another post. Being suspicious of another is not a crime. Following someone for a period of time because of that suspicion is not a crime. The crime that was committed was when the teen confronted Zimmerman. Do you honestly believe that if Zimmerman was 6'6" and weighed 250 pounds, that kid would have started some shit like he did. He decided to to do so because he could easily see that Zimmerman was a small man and he knew that he could probably whip his ass. The problem you're having is you honestly believe that Zimmerman wouldn't have acted and done the same thing if it was a white guy or a Hispanic guy, which i believe is bull shit. The man was seriously pissed about all the crime that had been occurring in that gated community. He felt that by him watching and having eyes on the ground he could make the call to police and have those break ins be curbed. Wasn't his fault that the teen decided to flex up and start the confrontation. As for the video's i posted. It shows that, black men, not all but the majority are raised by single mothers who could care less about them and care more about the government cheese that hits their mailbox once a month. It shows that black men, not all but the majority believes that violent confrontation, be it to another black man or to anyone else is the first step instead of calm and civility.

Why should he have to explain shit? He lived there (or at least his dad did.) Zimmerklansman didn't. And it was up to Zimmerman to explain why he was following him and trying to be Billy Badass RentaCop.

His record of 911 calls reporting "suspicious activity" involving young black men (which all turned out to be NOTHING) is well documented. It certainly establishes a prejudice towards a specific demographic, does it not?

And again, what the fuck does that have to do with this case. Trayvon Martin was murdered when he was walking back to his father's home. So the whole "single mother/welfare queen" mythology really is inappropriate to this discussion.

Why do you think we have so many blacks in prison. It's called bad parenting. Not all, but i would say the majority.

There may be something of a cultural bias towards black men not doing enough parenting but as far as prison goes there is a lot more going on.

It's also kind of sinister when you consider the massive political donations by the people that build and run prisons.

It's a worry for me here where traditionally the government has always ran our prisons but recently there has been a move to be more like the US. It's very open to corruption.

71-year-old black man found guilty of manslaughter, jury rejects ‘Stand Your Ground’ claim

A Tampa jury has found Trevor Dooley, a 71-year-old black man, guilty of manslaughter in the shooting death of his white neighbor, 41-year-old David James, in front of James’ then-8-year-old daughter Danielle.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the jury rejected Dooley’s claim of self-defense under the state of Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

One of the jury members said the law did not apply to this case, while jury foreman Walter Joss said, “The whole silly thing was over a skateboard … and it just escalated.”

However, the Jamaican-born Dooley believes that racism played a big part in his conviction.

He told reporters, “Do you really think that if it was the other way around and the skin color would be different we would be here today? … We wouldn’t.”

James’ daughter, who has been in counseling since the tragedy, did not remember much of the incident. She testified that she only remembered Dooley trying to go home.

The incident occurred in September 2010, when James and Dooley got into an argument over a skateboarder who had been given permission by James to skateboard on the other side of the basketball court where James and his daughter had been playing.

Neighbors who witnessed the altercation and later testified said they saw Dooley flip up his T-shirt, revealing a gun in his waistband, while cursing at James.

Dooley, who is 5-feet-7 and weighs 160 pounds, said in his testimony that he shot the 6-foot-1, 240 pound James when he felt his life was in danger because James had his hands around Dooley’s neck and was trying to reach for his gun.

The Times also reported that along with manslaughter, Dooley was also convicted of improper exhibition of a weapon and open carrying of a firearm, both misdemeanors.

Dooley will remain free on bail until his sentencing by Hillsborough Circuit Judge Ashley Moody on Jan. 10.
