Yep this is rainy lake in voyagers national park.

We went from one extreme to the other on plans for retirement.
I had my heart set on living in Florida but my girlfriends parents and daughter are up in rainier minnesota.
A plant in international falls is planning on closing next year so the time is right to buy in this area.

Yesterday evening I caught at least ten big walleye that were all in the slot and had to be thrown back but I'm not going to complain about walleyes 17-26 inches long.
We made up for it with a cooler full of ring perch and crappies.

I drank way too many beers last night and have had fun fucking with everyone here today, lets go catch some fish and enjoy the rest of our lives

Never tried walleye, honestly. Perch taste alright, but the goddamn things have way too many bones for their size, compared to a trout or salmon.

Probably the best single day of fishing I ever had in my life was at this pond in Texas, which may or may not have been the future site of Chimpy's campaign prop pig ranch (I was there in the late 70s, long before the BCE owned the property)

Big mouth bass on the hook within 10 seconds of dropping the line in the water. It was fucking crazy. But I still prefer salmon & trout as far as the taste of the fish itself.

I'd have to agree that salmon and trout are the tastiest non-oceanic fish. Bass and catfish are a bit too gamey-tasting for me.

Am still partial to oceanic/sea-based fish: tuna, swordfish, cod.
