I listened to Vance's speech and didn't come away with the same perspective...

A little over two years ago, the British government charged Adam Smith-Connor, a 51-year-old physiotherapist and an army veteran, with the heinous crime of standing 50 meters from an abortion clinic and silently praying for three minutes—not obstructing anyone, not interacting with anyone, just silently praying on his own.

And after British law enforcement spotted him and demanded to know what he was praying for, Adam replied, simply, it was on behalf of the unborn son he and his former girlfriend had aborted years before.

Now, the officers were not moved. Adam was found guilty of breaking the government’s new “buffer zones” law, which criminalizes silent prayer and other actions that could “influence” a person’s decision within 200 meters of an abortion facility. He was sentenced to pay thousands of pounds in legal costs to the prosecution.

That sounds fairly different of saying someone will get arrested praying in their home.

The Romania statement was also very different... They claimed "Russian Interference" invalidated that election. a familiar claim in recent times... Vance's comment was:

The guy he mentioned who claimed to be praying had been asked to move on for over an hour and a half and he is appealing it anyway and being funded in that by Alliance Defending Freedom has been at the center of a nationwide effort to limit the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people, all in the name of Christianity. The Southern Poverty Law Center has termed it an “anti-LGBTQ hate group” that has extended its tentacles into nearly every area of the culture wars.

His speech is going on about how he and Trump will stand up for the rights of people to disagree with them? Really ???
