Based on John Oliver (who I think voted for him), I thought Keir Starmer was a boring dud, but he seems to be becoming the bright shining star of all that is good and decent in the West....

Refreshing to see the UK & EU stepping up into this conflict in a more direct leadership role. If it's their distaste for Trump that motivates them... that's fine. In the long run stronger alliances and more stability in the region benefits more people overall. The US doesn't need to lead or dominate other's around the globe. It's more effective that the people of the region manage their destiny...

Problem is we've bought tons of military equipment off of the USA and with Trump working with/for Putin then he can stop parts or even just switch them off.

If nothing else a lot of US allies won't be buying US military equipment in the future.

A few days ago Trump switched off the defences of Zelensky's home town so that Russia could bomb civilians there.
