haha oh man you guys are so lame....diamond dave sucks now and has for years...the never hit high notes....the guy enhanced his voice. i was a hardcore dave fan until i saw him live....he thought his matial arts shit could makes up for his lack of decent songs and his terrible voice. the guy was a great front man but hell never be a great singer. sammy hagar is seriously one of the best singers ever in the business...he may not dance like diamond dave but he can outsing him any day and i bet he can certainly out drink him. david lee roth had his 8 years of fame but he deserved to be kicked out when he thought he was the band...i mean the guy had no freakin talent....when michael anthony can out do you in anything you know your a talentless hack. eddie and alex didnt need roth to continue the successful path and they proved itby bettering their band and bringing in hagar. van halen's new greatest hits set is really awesome...it truely is the best of both worlds .... the cd has sammy singing daves songs live and...holy shit he really kicks the crap out of dave...like he can actually hit the highs conistantly and the man can just really blow the speakers. when i saw sammy live he was with cabo wabo and i thought id be hearing all new crappy stuff from cabo wabo but actually sammy played a lot of van halen songs...that he wrote....he wrote all the songs while he was in the band so he has the legal rights to them...unlike dave who didnt write and has nothing. sammy is coming up on 60 and hes still rocking everyone in the known universe....and where is dave? do i need to say it? maybe i should for all you in "roths army"....diamond david lee roth is now in las vegas doing wicked shitty shows...dirt cheap....the guy is a fucking loser..thank you and goodnight

difference between bands

i my self am a fan of van halen period. i do like both versions and gary was alright as well. But the classic vh just had something that the hagar version does not have and that my friends was attitude and confidence. Hagar can sing but he can dance and he cant get his groove on like dave could and thats the big difference. Dave used the crowd as where in hagars case the crowd uses him
