The greater disturbing thing to me in this thread ( the lesser is, if they are accurate, is the willing posts of peoples real names) is mention that WARF might be lifting passwords from his site to try to gather further info on people/person. While I have no idea that this is true, from experience here in the past (and just this thread) I would say in a drunken state that it's entirely possible from him. This again makes sense in my head just to the fact of in this thread threatening to "expose" people/posters. If you have the want/drive to search the internet for personal info to use against people (that you don't even know personally) then I would say the potential is great for it.

And for the record, and before you unload on me, WARFs actions, past and present have convinced me that this could be happening, nobody else. Some would consider this the ultimate troll (something he seems to aspire to) and I guess it would be. But if nothing else it would destroy any credibility/trust for his board, and this small community, not to say what it says about the person behind it.

But using someones real name on a photoshop of their real face is searchable and pulled up in the real world by relatives, prospective employers, etc... which she may or may not be given the opportunity to explain it is not real or she may just be notified sorry we liked another candidate better. No way of knowing. So it is a real attack, with possible real life consequence.

Let's please put an end to this speculation... vBulletin passwords are stored in encrypted format in protected directories that even a typical admin/webbie such as Warf's account do NOT have access authority to. Even if one were to gain access to where they are stored they would require the encryption keys to convert them to cleartext that could be read. Warham is the only person with top level administration access to the Fans board... Warf does NOT have that access or control of the software.

So enough of all this... No one from either site is hacking member accounts or passwords. No one.

But there certainly was a concerted campaign to identify and gather peoples' personal info and photos on Facecrook through surreptitious means as a way to carry out a personal vendetta and site war. And it's being enabled or even actively assisted by grown, educated people that should know better. But it certainly isn't your fault.
