I think if you take van hagar songs while you got the classic hits in your mind back from the roth era, they are incredibely shitty... especially the lyrics, which are the difference that you notice first after the scission..

but if you take van hagar songs alone without having first heard any classic vh song, then they are quite good...

and i'm saying this as a true diamond dave fan..

Well, I've just read again what I posted yesterday... An exhausting week's work plus Flemish beer plus the painful memory of VH's spoiling (mock-VH's "crime" 86 album did to me the same as to a little boy having his best toy trampled onto, and no copy can ever be manufactured!) had me write those confused lines. If 'Jump' have been sang by Sam, it would have got no.1 vote in this thread. It's the least classic-Van Halen-like tune on 1984 (verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus) and Dave doesn't sound right on it as well (I mean 'Romeo Delight' Dave).

And no, 'Just like a Paradase' is AWEFULL!!! Vai playing heart-shaped double neck ??? And people bash Love's Walking In?
