Not even comparable. Ed in his prime was world's better than Slash on his best day. Slash has some very memorable riffs, but he's hardly an innovator or a brilliant player. He does a great job in the vein he plays in, the same few pentatonic leads. There's nothing wrong with that, but he's not in the same league as Ed.
